The HK54y family consists of a range of Hall switches manufactured using VICORV technology. Each sensor in this family includes a temperature-compensated Hall plate with active offset compensation, a comparator, and an output driver. These sensors operate as 2-wire devices, utilizing an open-drain output transistor and a current source as the output driver. The comparator's function is to compare the actual magnetic flux with fixed reference values (switching points), leading to the activation (high current consumption) or deactivation (low current consumption) of the output transistor within the current source in the 2-wire version.
